For the so called 'green cars', my $90k 328i had a relatively small $2.5k LCT (can't remember the exact figure off the top of my head) component.
Compare it with my recently sold $96k E90 in 2005, which cost thousands more in LCT, I had a quiet chuckle when I saw how small the cost component was, even with so many options added.
