It has a little hook on the end to stetch the springs. I reached in from the front of the grill and pulled each of the tabs. It was so easy - no need to undo the top of the front bumper if you have a tool like this one.
what was the weather when you did it. I am in california. I tried then morning... wont budge... fingers hurt now... its about 55 deg F. outside.
