If they are smart, any person who bought an earlier F30 (not leased) and requests the new oil change schedule should get it just for customer relations point of view. These people are the minority these days (like myself) that buy a great car and keep it long term and actually enjoy maintaining a car and keeping it going the right way. With 130,000 miles on my e90 and not many parts replaced outside of wear items my car has hardly degraded from new. Sure the driver seat has some wear on the leather, the exterior doesn't look quite as fresh as the e90 once did but overall these just are not throw cars. But most people in the US either lease or buy and trade every 3-4 years.
