Incorrect.
BMWFS will not negotiate buyout for $1 less than residual with the leaseholder (or anyone for that matter). Period.
This can only be done at Dealership and at set discount as detailed above and in other threads as of the date of this post.
Things may be different (or not) by the time your lease is up.
