Thank you.. thought I'd share my experience as it couldn't go any smoother. I went with shawnsheridan's suggestion and 24hours later I have Satellite radio working on my bmw for substantially less than the $1200 dealer quote here in Arizona
here's what you'll need to do if interested.. first verify you have "S693A - Preparation BMW satellite radio" by decoding your VIN here:
https://decoder.bvzine.com/
I paid $200 total - $125 for the 6F Sat Radio FSC Code & another $75 for the remote install -- just email
warpeddriveservices@gmail.com once you've verified your VIN has S693A
You will need a windows PC/laptop, enet cable, wifi internet, and teamviewer for remote install - I purchased this cable from Amazon and it worked:

This is a decent savings over Bimmer-tech's solution as well since that cost is $299 for my car. I'm sure if you know what you're doing you can simply buy the 6F Sat Radio FSC Code for $125 and do the install yourself...
in my case, I have no clue about coding so this total solution for $200 (including remote install) worked perfectly - thank you shawnsheridan for the suggestion
