I have an oil extractor I used to use for oil changes (no use to me now with no dipstick). I'm thinking of getting a small copper pipe I can bend to make a horseshoe shape to get into the bottom on the Diff. Then use the oil d extractor to suck the old oil out.

That’s exactly what you do. I did both from and rear of my 2015 GT xdrive. Had no issues w access.
