43mpg doesnt mean anything as it depends on how and where you are driving it.
For example, if this is just around town, then that is a fantastic figure, but if its mainly on a good run, I'd expect a lot more.
I got 56mpg from my E90 last week going up a boring 50mph road following lorries, but I dont get that all the time.
