Glad to see some traffic starting to pick up on F30 post. This thread seems the most comprehensive on what I expect to be an ongoing conversation (maybe worth making it a Sticky?).

I am currently running 189s as my winter set-up for my e90. I will be ordering an F30 soon (likely Msport/RWD, possibly Adaptive M suspension). From what I have read on this thread it sounds like:

1. I will have no problem mounting the 189s on an F30, but I will have to use the F30 bolts.

2. The front will fit perfectly fine but the rears will be a bit pushed out.

(Please correct me if I am wrong on those!)

3. My question is, with the lower profile tires on the 189s, I suppose there will be more of a wheel well gap, but is there any other negative consequence of having the "incorrect" profile ratio? Incorrect speedometer reading? I guess logically you have less rubber so could there be increased risk of damaging the rims on a pothole or bottoming out in general? Not that I had planned on it but I assume dropping it would increase any of these possible issues. Does anyone know if the M adaptive suspension is any lower than the standard Msport?

Appreciate any input!!
