Alpina has released the first details and pics of its 2014 Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo, which will join the
B3 Bi-Turbo as the newest F3x based Alpina offering. The D3 is set to make its debut at the 2013 Frankfurt IAA show beginning next week.
For the 2014 D3, Alpina utilizes the same powerplant which powers the
XD3 and D5 - an inline six-cylinder twin turbo motor. It outpouts
345 HP (257kw) and
516 lb-ft (700 Nm) torque. 0-62mph (100kmh) can be covered by the D3 in
4.6 seconds, with a top speed of 173 MPH (278kmh).
As for efficiency - the D3 will sip diesel fuel at a rate of
44.3 MPG U.S. (53.3 MPG UK / 5.3 Liters per 100km).
The D3 will come in both RWD and AWD models, as well as sedan and touring versions. Optional limited slip differential will also be available.
