Thanks for the points, and I did check out the new fusion. I thought the 2.0 turbo performed admirably, and at almost 10k less than a comparable 328i I think it's a fantastic deal. IMO a sport spec'd 328 or 335 are going to be much quicker and more enjoyable to drive, but the fusion is a great commuter with lots of cool tech in there. The plan A pricing didn't seem that great, only about 2k off a 34k car which is more or less the same I got off percentage wise for a dealer traded 335 allocation.

Agree on Michigan winters/roads, I'm going to get a second set of rims and snow tires to help with corrosion and then garage the car at night.
