Not sure if this is relevant as a) I don't have my BMW yet, and b) I live in the UK...
BUT! In my Jaguar XF, if my contacts have the international number format, e.g. +44 1234 567890 then the contact name doesn't appear, just the telephone number. When I change the contact number to remove the country code, e.g. 01234 567890 then the contact name appears. This is with an Android 4.2 handset.
It may be the same issue?
