So when you first get your car, read every ECU, and copy all the .ncd files to a separate safe backup location in a different folder. If you have to revert back to the original coding data, there is a process of inserting that into the CAFD and coding the module. It does not require you copy those files back anywhere.

Hi, for the paranoid among us, would you please describe the process needed to totally restore from a backup of the original ncd files?
What would one do in E-Sys and how would you use the ncd files you created in the initial backup? Would you just wholesale replace the files with the backup and re-code each module?
