I am a flight test engineer for Boeing and was on the team for experimental flight testing and development of the new 787... That being said I just heard today that Boeing and BMW are going to share each others knowledge on carbon fiber. Looks like Boeing will share their knowledge on carbon fiber development on the 787 and BMW will share their knowledge on recycling carbon fiber scraps. Should be interesting to see what comes of this... Ill see if I can find a public news article.
