They'll read about:
Rusty seat bases, faulty leather workmanship, mis-matched paint on rear bumpers, new nav sending owners all over the shop, orange peel paint, slow to react parking sensors, auto wipers not very effective, rattles from dash, steering vibration, squeaky brakes, rear view mirror loose housing ..........
But when customers report many of these issues, BMW and the garages have never heard of the fault before.

I know from guys inside of BMW, that they don't always like what is discussed on forums, but often are aware of what is on topic. There are also comments going back into BMW from those in the motoring press who have 'listening ears' inside BMW.
