I have have replaced 3-4 fog lights and even though I couldn't see any chips BMW always refused to cover it under warranty. One even broke 2 days after I repaired the last one. BMW offered a discount and installed it for free though.

nothing is missing and I rub my finger over it and its all smooth no chips or anything
