Cameras are a good tool, and as John says, the variables give some good options. I personally like the 'guide lines', along with the distance sensor feedback in the display, works well.

Bird's-eye view is brilliant in placing the car when parking.

I've found lane departure can work well on decent roads, but having tried it in a 535d on my local roads which vary in width, not a good idea as it is far too active.
