A quick question, how many tubes/syringe(s) would i need it I wanted to do it myself.

reason I ask is because one tube costs $55 and a detailer is willing to do it for $399.

Also, this detailer usually doesnt do opti-coat, but ive been going to his often, and hes a good guy, is it safe to let him do it? or should I go somewhere with opticoat experience?

cheers
I guess 1 syringe is more than enough for regular size sedan. According to detailers forums, putting too much opti coat will cause trouble. Just couple of drops at a time is enough.
And, id like to recommend opticoat experienced detailer, but if your car is pretty new, i think you can do it by yourself as long as you fully understand the whole prep and application procedure.
There are many youtube videos and forums to learn how to opticoat if you Google it.
