I had the same dilemma and ended up leaving Nav on the table. I'm a bit gutted but then I would hardly use it (and I have a garmin!).
If you're doing a lot of mileage and often to places you don't know then I'd think seriously about finding the cash.
If not, you've got to question it. It's a real nice-to-have, but if you're not using it daily I would forget about it.
