One needs to understand about the HUD. Yes, it relays information to the driver, but not at the expense of distraction. So in it's minimum state, it constantly displays digital speed only. If you have navigation option & activate it, then that comes up as well.

Otherwise, in my M-Sport with pro nav, I can music on my right side knurled knob & change stations with it. The HUD displays it for a few seconds. Similarly with BT phone setup. The Mode button selects between the 2.

Other useful bits of info come up on the HUD from time to time - not randomly, it's operationally based. I would like to see more, but since I've had my car for 3 days, I'm still discovering it. Maybe it will throw up a warning if say oil is low or if tyre pressure is low. Not sure, but it would be good if it did.

What it has displayed over the past few days is great. Phone details, radio, multimedia.

Is it worth it? Yes. I like it and when I set my first navigation route, it will come into its own. Looking forward to discovering more displays.
