I have to admit I'm just quoting what I've seen other people complaining or comment about re the exhaust valve - my F30 is still 6 weeks away. It's a simple job to permanently disable it (details in another thread somewhere here) but if it's that loud I'd get the dealer to fix it - it might be indicative of impending failure.
