I agree. The paint covering is pretty crap.
I have a ceramic coating on my motor. After a bit bird shit, it's cleaned off, but still leaves a bit of a dull area. Once totally cleaned you can't notice it though.
Got me paranoid that i have to wash the whole motor after a bit bird crap though. You can certainly notice it if i don't. Lol.
