Of course nothing is at stake. This is supposed to be fun/entertainment. And I disagree that no one was pushing it. Near the end, the C63 had some oversteer through one turn and even clipped some grass going flat-out after the apex in another.
It didn't look like the V8 Supercar and RB F1 were coasting either.
I'd also argue the opposite regarding the "head start times." If they would've all started at the same time, it wouldn't have been a "race" at all.
The point of setting the start times was to show you the disparity between different variants of race and street cars.
The goal was to have them all finish at around the same time by way of starting at different times.
