If you get moist snow on >freezing roads, it can get slick as ice. The colder it gets, the colder the snow gets, and the drier the snow gets, the easier it is to drive on.

Not a hill, an inclined driveway. My thinking, and i could be wrong(i live in florida...) is backing up a driveway in rwd for the same reason fwd is better in the snow. Instead of pushing the car, by backing up with rwd you are pulling the car up..if that makes sense
