^^^ and I wait for about 30 sec. or just when the RPM starts to drop from its peak (~1500) at start-up. Cold engine will result in more unburned fuel and more carbon deposit in the chamber; so avoid hard acceleration sounds logical. But then again, this will take years to be significant enough and cause problems, shouldn't matter if you're not keeping your car past 100K miles.
