Finally Delivered

I went to the dealership today to pick my car up... what a great day! I got a couple of quick pictures with my phone when we got home, but I can't get my tablet to upload them for some reason, I'll post them later when I fire up the desktop computer.
She's a MY13 335i Sportline and it was worth the wait. I tried the different driving modes on the way home from the dealership (took all the surface roads, no reason to mess with the interstate this time). Eco Pro really does put the car to sleep. I work on an Air Force base, so Eco Pro is perfect for the low speed limits on base. Sport and Sport+ really change the whole car's response. I had to change down into Comfort just to keep the RPMs below 4,000.
I opted for the 19" 401 rims and the ride is actually really comfortable. There isn't a ton of body roll, but the car still absorbs sharp bumps without upsetting the whole chassis. Nice compromise. My wife had me turn the stereo and air conditioning off so we could get a good earful of the engine (bless her heart). It was wonderful!! If it wasn't for the break-in RPM cap, we could have really enjoyed some mechanical music.
I traded in my 2006 330i for this car and even at medium throttle openings, the torque in noticeably stronger. I gave it a little too much gas backing up the driveway and left a couple mini-burnouts. Surprised us both! The seats are supportive but not intrusive.
The HUD is clear and more importantly, useful. Lane guidance for intersections comes up in a red diagram and the distance to the turn counts down in feet. I didn't expect power folding mirrors (they are power adjustable and power folding). I didn't select it as a option and I didn't see it on any of the packages I ordered. The standard features list includes power mirrors, but I didn't realize that included the folding option... cool. Bluetooth audio and phone work as advertised and it is all controllable from the steering wheel and visible in the HUD. The garage door opener took a second to figure out, but also does what it says on the box
Sorry for blabbering on so much, but the more I think about the last couple of hours with the car, the more I find to babble about. To everyone still waiting for your cars, the patience will be rewarded!
