It turns out that for 2013 some select BMW models in Canada don't have an option for the Harman Kardon sound system, or a premium sound upgrade.

For example: the 3 series 320i and the BMW X1 28i.
I'm basing this all from the web site "build your own". (seems Canada only so far, not sure about other countries)
So is this really not an option? Someone please tell me different and that the dealer can make this an option for an order.

One dealer told me the HiFi system in the X1 28i "is" the HK system. But I find that hard to believe since the X1 35i has an $800 option for the HK sound upgrade.
Do any other models anywhere else in the world have the same fate? No sound upgrade option?
