....and I thought my car was badly built when I opened the door and part of the trim fell off! It was the dash rattles that really annoyed me though.
mtmcgavock - agreed. My Merc was £40K and I really believe that my wife's Mazda was better built. Certainly, it didn't suffer the same number of rattles.
F30AM - there is one other consideration........the Merc forums are nowhere near as extensive as those for BMW! You'd miss F30post!
