this is a bad simile - the difference between DSLR and SLR is digital medium. I suppose you could say that a MT is more like 'manual exposure' vs automatic mode. Unless you plan to heel-toe around the track, or rev the motor at stoplights, I expect equal fun can be had with either transmission
