I put 4 layers and it held up great. But I ended up getting m perf grills anyway.

Yeah, the gloss look definitely better. The OEM M performance grille isn't really expensive, it's like $50 a piece if you get it from tisher and I got mine from a dealer for about $60 each.
Looks great on my imperial blue and takes the old man look away from the luxury line lol
