I had it ticked at the very beginning when I wanted the full black panel display.
Didn't know what's what then. Asked the sales person to find out all the details and tell me as he didn't know either. Apparently it closes the windows also when it thinks you're about have an accident.
Unless safety is more important for you, get something else that you will actually notice day to day.
