If an unintentional stall routinely killed women, manual transmissions would have rid the world of trophy wives decades ago.
If she is intentionally pulling out in front of fast moving traffic - leaving a fraction of a second as the difference between life and death - there are much larger issues to address, wholly unrelated to the technology of the car.
