They are both good IMO, but different. Either one would do for me.
So, I'm perfectly happy with my lowly but linear and cheaper Servotronic rack. Have no choice, do I? I'll simply have to drive safely, normally and a bit more sedately.

At the end of the day, you get 'used' to how your own car drives, and the options fade away in your memory. They are ALL OK.
I upgraded from Servotronic to VSS as I find now I'm used to the constant hands on wheel thing that paddles and auto gearbox brings. It would be nice to have even shuffle free steering round tight roundabouts. I am thinking VSS gives this with the 2.2 turns lock to lock.
