Also note: there a small snack café down in the museum’s lobby, you can also get a Boxster Burger there. They also have snack bar for sandwhiches and coffee and cake. Upstairs there is a really nice, high end restaurant too. They sell $$$ Porsche steaks there! lol


Directions – coming from the North.

• Freeway A 81 Stuttgart – Heilbronn (Heilbronn – Stuttgart)
• Exit Zuffenhausen
• B10 in the direction of Stuttgart Zentrum/Messe
• Just follow the signs to Porsche SE (five mins on the B10).
• Once you get to the traffic circle with the museum & dealership, turn right and park in the garage under the museum. Its on the left side of the museum.


I know there are a lot of Porsche fans here on BimmerPost.com… so I thought I would treat you to a very special museum. This is a MUST SEE place when coming to Germany – I think. In fact I saw THREE M3’s on ED tour while driving around near Porsche Musuem.

Type 909 Bergspyder racer (1968)… no fuel pump needed, just a pressurized ball!

In 1968 titanium crankshaft used 13Kg it was 10Kg lighter than the steel version!

Steering wheel from a 917/10 built in 1972, weighed only 595 grams!

908 shifter only weighed in at 18grams. Balsa wood ball on end of shifter for added weight savings!

Light weight racing shoes tailored made for Vic Elford. Only 550 grams.

In 1996 Porsche introduced hallow spoke alloy wheels on the type 993 Turbo model.
