Not sure how long it stays on but if you get out of the car without locking it, all power outlets stay on on. I noticed as soon as I unlock my car or wash my car where the car is unlocked the entire time, my dash cam stays on.
Did your radio reset or just ac and auto stop
Maybe leaving it unlocked draws enough power to go into safe mode, deleting your pre sets. Back in my old 1 series, if I came back to the car within an hour, things like heated seats, ac and such would be remembered. Come more than an hour and basic things would reset. I haven't had that happen in my 340i so it seems it now has a longer cycle.
