If you live in Orange County and have an xi I doubt you will ever need chains. Mountain roads are always plowed. I have taken my 135i up to bear before in the winter with no problems  |
I'm taking a trip to Portland in December and the state requires chains (especially for this 4 mile stretch of the 5). I def do not need them here in OC - staggered summers 24/7. I don't want to get caught in the mountains.
