The gear shifter CF kit that you get looks like this:



In order to replace the old cover, you need to remove the old plastic display (the P/N/R/D thingy).
Once you remove that, there's a screw holding the cover in place.
Remove that screw and the cover will come out.
Replace the P button, new CF cover, screw it back and tape off the new plastic display with the M on it.

The bottom suede is really easy to replace (it's clipped into place)


You just need to pry it out and replace it with the new one. No need to remove anything on the gear shifter.

For me, the only "tricky parts" to install were the CF trims on the door handles and the new hand brake cover.

By the way. What's the screw head you used for the shifter screw? Thanks.
