But the keys I mentioned are not clones, they are normal BMW keys paired to the car. Most models can have up to 8 keys paired.

Cloned keys are a hole other thing.



Another way here is they also use a small transmitter like a gate remote with the correct frequency to block the car key signal when people lock the car. Because most people just press their lock button as they walk away they think the car is locked, while it is not because the remote was blocked. So the thieves then have easy access to the unlocked car.
