Coding isn't necessary. The reason it's necessary moving from the 335i brakes to the M Performance brakes is because rotor diameter increases. Because of this, the effective angular acceleration changes and needs to be re-calibrated for the same brake bias per wheel for regular braking and DTC.
The 335i brakes and 328i brakes share the same rotor diameter so this is not necessary for this swap. The changes are the pad compound and caliper.
