I'm in two minds about it. While I appreciate the possible fuel saving it is starting to annoy. I'm driving an F31 320d loan car until mine is delivered in February and I wonder if the preference saving option is available through UK dealers.
At the moment I'm occasionally trying to drive around it which does seem to defeat the object. For instance if I'm really light on the foot brake at a junction it doesn't kick in, a little extra pressure and it does. And I do wonder about wear and tear, for the sort of town driving I do the constant stop/start can't be good.
