Sounds like there is no standard rate for GAP and the dealership can offer it for pretty much whatever they think they can get away with! I'll see what they say when I pick the car up but from a quick Google there are plenty of alternatives in the £200-£300 bracket so I'll use that as a bargaining tool. If they offer me something too good to turn down I reckon I'll go for it.

Tyre insurance I'm not so sure about. It seems run flats are more prone to punctures and unlikely to be repaired so one puncture and it sounds like it pretty much pays for itself, however I haven't had a puncture for a very long time. The other BMW drivers I know who have run flats also haven't had punctures so is it as problematic?

Knowing me though I'll probably go for them both as long as the price is right
