F30's don't have as much outer clearance as E92/Pre-LCI E90's. F30 fitment is similar to E90 LCI fitment in that the rear requires higher offset. There is room to fit a wide wheel in there, it just requires a high offset.

If one were to run E92 fitment on the F30, the rear wheels will be pushed out more than the front and they would have rubbing issues.

I'm undecided in the 19" Vs. 20" F30 debate as well. Will need to see more of both, as well as varying wheel styles, before making up my mind.
