Not cheap, but I couldn't be bothered to get all the bits and build it myself.

After that, it's just a case of following (carefully) the instructions in the thread Kitster referenced above.

The software does need a lot of free memory, so make sure you either have a lot of RAM or shut everything else down when you run it. I originally ran it on a Windows 7 laptop with only 1GB of RAM and it ran out of free memory in the middle of programming the car, which made it slow to a crawl, and it then took 20 minutes to finish the programming (instead of 30 seconds or so), with me sweating the whole time thinking it was going to crash and I was going to brick the car. You really don't want to go there.
