I traded a 2012 JCW Clubman on my 328i. I have had a few 3 Series loan cars while my JCW was in multiple times for repairs. I had a 320D for a month.
Recently for the first time I got a 320i as loan car. Ok I was impressed this is a much better drive than a 320D so I thought maybe a 328i is worth a look.
Almost 2 weeks on since delivery of the 328i my observations are...
Handling clearly not as sharp as the JCW but I find it a good handler FWD vs RWD I have always liked RWD handling but my time with the JCW showed how good a FWD can be. But I do like how the 328i handles however it will never be as good as the JCW in the mountains.
Brakes JCW little car BIg Brembo's the 328i looses that one.
Power in a straight line...328i wins that hands down.
I like the 328i I like comfort the handling the power but the brakes could do with some improvement.
