The system does work.
I had it fitted professionally and fitting takes about 2 hours. Can't be bothered with steering locks which are easy to pick and ungainly.
You might also be interested to know that many, many cars in Israel, including F30 BMWs, have a similar system fitted for enhanced security. We know the Israelis are experts in this. If it is good enough for them, it is good enough for me.
