I don't have any intent - I was merely pointing out that, properly optioned, BMW is offering a M235i-like 4-series. And...to your delight it come de-badged from the factory. BTW...in addition to the M-Sport trim (that most us opt for anyway), the M-performance options add about $4K. Not much more than the technology package alone. Hardly putting it into M4 territory. The M235i is flying off the shelves, which would indicate that there is a call for a more sporting model that bridges the gap between the i series and the true M.
