Yeah this is very interesting. The law talks about where its first used. Technically your making the purchase here and it is used "
first" in Europe. I'm interpreting it as, if its first & stored for 91 days before coming back to CA, you aren't obligated to pay sales tax (as long as you can prove usage).
They used examples like if you purchased a new car, and your job relocates you after your purchase, then you aren't required to pay use/sales tax. So theres definitely exceptions to the rule.
