DS is JUST for the transmittion. It changes shift points, shifts faster etc

Sport mode changes the transmittion the same as DS, but also changes steering weight and throttle response.

So DS is not redundant. You can keep the car in Comfort for light steering and throttle, but get quicker shifting and higher shift points.
I don't believe the shifts are quicker in DS. More severe possibly, but I don't believe they are quicker. Can anybody confirm this? I may be wrong!
Also, doesn't DS sharpen throttle response?
