I ran a bluespark on my 30d and would echo Jon's comments above.
Back when I had my m135i the go-to box on babybmw was the TMC. Again it's a multichannel option.
I'd maybe go for the JB+ if I was you. I'm sure it can be had for under £200 and seems like a good bump in power if you don't fancy the full fat JB4. I think you can also trade up later if you so desire.
Edit: sorry just saw you'd mentioned JB+. If you're considering a bluespark it'd def be on my list.
