I went from a E90 2006 325i to a F30 2012 328i last month and I think it's definitely worth the upgrade.
The drive seems more smooth, the steering is more responsive, the car generally feels a lot ligher too. My old car was non-iDrive so going to iDrive with Navi and all those other features like comfort access is a big plus to me too.
I was a bit torn the day I turned in my E90 for the F30 because the delivery specialist drove my E90 trade in right passed me and said bye before I left the dealership. It was a sad farewell.
