+1 for anything that doesn't involve driving around on an 'over-inflated' tyre with a nail in it. It's one thing to get a puncture in an RFT, have the tyre inspected and repaired properly by a specialist tyre place if it's deemed safe to do so, but I'm actually surprised a BMW dealer would do what they've done in your case.
Also +1 for tyre insurance as I've had 5 punctures in around 3 years!
Incidentally, my local dealer won't repair RFTs however there's a specialist tyre shop about 10 miles from me that will consider it after removing and inspecting the tyre.
